The selective desaturation adds nothing to the image. Not bad, probably, without it. |

I love strong perspective wideangle shots, but I'm generally not a fan of the fisheye look except when it suits the scene. For me, this is not really doing anything to enhance the scene. However, this is very much a personal preference thing, and not really a flaw. I have no doubt that many others will like this a lot. |

Interesting fisheye composition. I have become intrigued by fisheye photos recently and I like where you're going here. Keep experimenting. |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: I think this is an example of a good match between scene and technique / equipment. The end result is something that self-frames; that is interesting in itself. I also like the red and yellow coloration at the base of the image.
Critical stuff: I do find the light to be a little flat and I think the clouds could have been PP'ed to be more dramatic; though I do commend the unedited (pure) feel you have offered here.
Overall: A interesting image that I am pleased to have been able to meet in this FS. |

Love the lens. What appears to be selective desaturation doesn't work for me. |
