Challenge: Planes, Trains and Automobiles (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: The Distillery Historic District

Aperture: F4.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/50

Well, I like the image and I like the car which I found just outside the gates of The Distillery Historic District in Toronto. I feel though that it will not do well in the challenge so I predict a score of 4.2 to 4.5

My original final image had too much red and the background was busy and clashed too much with the subject. I muted the colour of the background and increased saturation on the car. I also did selective sharpening on the car so that it will stand out.

Raw mode.

Post processing:

levels adjustment
colour adjustment
cloned out a downspout and a piece of wood on the left side of the image
cloned out some bicycles parked behind the car closer to the wall
selective sharpening on the car
increased saturation on the car and decreased it on the background wall
cropped
resized

love the car, but I'm not too sure about your background.....in some ways I like the way it lengthens the photo, but it seems kinda busy too...

I really like the colors and the textures in this, composure and exposure are very good, but I would have put the rear windows down for the photo to enhance the long & low look

Great job! The colors are wonderful, and the framing is great! I only wish you could have gotten the part on the right with the darker bricks cropped out, but I guess you can't control where the car is parked right? Good job!

very very nice. i love side-on shots of cars, and this chummy, is a great example and brilliant choice of subject matter. the blue of the gorgeous car is wonderful, and i also love your choice of background. only reservation i have is that the ends of the whatever-it-is (caddy?) is a bit close to the sides of the frame. that aside, i think it's well composed and very lovely to look at. 8.

Cery nice cropping, a very nice color difference between the blue and the brick red. Nice shot.

The power windows didn't work well on my Mom's Caddy either... Nice parade car
