The textures of the cream coloured cracked and peeling paint contrast nicely with the greenish grey tint of the old wood underneath on this doorway. The eye goes immediately to the dark Simmons lock crisp and highlighted by the layers of paint around it and the repeating circles invite you in - but this has long ago ceased to be accessible. The viewer is left to wonder about this on many levels but does not have the Key that will open it nor reveal the answer. Superb macro. |

Definitely in need of a scraper and some elbow grease! Good detail and a nice take for the challenge. |

Not so much a macro as a close up, but a killer one. Terrific crackling and colors, very sharp and evocative image. The composition is great and balanced between the circular lock set and the green patch. |
