 A macro of a crayon, clarified (PSP) the snot out of it, and converted to bw.

50 reversed on an 18-55 with +3, +2, +1 magnification thingys on them.

When I first saw this shot I thought, "hm, I didn't know pointandshoot was doing this side challenge..." I never would have guessed it was yours. That might be the coolest shot of a crayon I've ever seen. I really like the shallow DOF you chose.

Another macro that would have done well in the current macro challenge. Might have even gotten an MUAIMHO if wasn't received well by the masses. Love it!

I've often thought about trying this approach to macro photography - you could certainly pick up some very small bugs.

@Matt -- If you only knew how tempting that macro lens of yours was. . . .That is my next "camera purchase" but first, I have to finance some other projects (like my kids' Christmas presents).
