I find this to be an interesting image. I spent considerable time with the gradient tool trying to get the cross and stairs in a combination of focus and blur that imparts a barrier. Note that the upper stairs, are progressively blurred, implying that spirituality, of any sort, is a journey not to be taken lightly. It seems easy at first but becomes more difficult as you grow, possibly representing an unending journey.

Take from the image what you need, I'm sure many viewers can find a connection to their own personal journey. Thanks for reading this far! ;)

I hope to find a synagogue, mosque, and other places of worship that will allow for similar imagery. I readily admit that I chose this site due to work restrictions, and is not a commentary on Christianity, etc. This happens to be the home of a Protestant ministry.

This is pretty cool Ben. What a great way to highlight a religious symbol. The black and white tones are fabulous.

I love B&Ws. It looks good...I would have blurred the right side a little more though

Nice attempt but I think it would have more of the traditional miniature feel if it weren't so close up in the shot and the entire building was surrounded with trees, or whatever, to give it more perspective.

for me this doesn't have "as much" of a miniature feel to it as some of the others but it is quite good...
