I was surprised to find that these 3D things work easily and that you don't need to have mathematical precision in the degree of difference between the two shots. The work is done by our eyes/brains in combining them once our eyes are crossed to the right amount.I'll be looking for some more interesting subjects for future use.

The two views are just a bit apart, like the left eye view is from the right eye, so when we blend the images (by going cross-eyed) the effect is 3D like our eyesight.

Ooh!, that works good. Is there a rule of thumb as to how far apart to take the pictures?

its a great diptych marion .. but i have no idea about the 3D thing ..
the reeds look like i could reach out and pick them .. just grab a handful .. how did you do it . ?!!..:)
