 Some weeks ago I saw a photo like this in a local magazine. So I've tried to reproduce it for this challenge.

I love the way the wall crack behind the rope looks like lightning striking through the heart.

Brilliant image. One of the few 10's I've given. Stark! Simple! Elegant! A bit of further processing would give it more depth. Maybe some dodge & burn of the shadows ... maybe a multiply over layer ... not sure. But way good enough as is.

This is one instance where I think the title actually says too much. The image is strong enough without the "I HATE YOU" in the title.

Simple yet interesting. I think it may have worked better turned upside down.I also get the "crack" but not the other lines. Overall, good job!
