 Interesting and fun tidbit. This image has done VERY WELL for me on Getty Images: Getty Images. I've made more on this shot than I have with photos on stock sites in three years. So take heart, even tho a photo finishes LAST at DPC, it can still acheive great value elsewhere :)

It's cold outside.
Birds aren't even out because it's so cold.
I hate the cold.
And there's no birds to shoot.
So I stay inside.
And take pictures where it's warm.

Hopefully this will get a brown since everyone else did photograph an actual bird. I did not enter this with the pure intention of winning the brown. I just wanted to enter the challenge and this was my way of escaping having to shoot out in the cold :)

Cool shot Michelle. The cold made me stay inside too. No way I'm going to freeze my butt looking for birds with freezing butts. lol

ROFL - it's actually a pretty good shadow although I think it looks more like a flying dinosaur than a bird . . so actually maybe it's not that great in a bird challenge . .

But in a shadow puppet flying dinosaur challenge ?? Man you could romp home :- )

Very nicely done, probably finished where it should have since it really did not meet the challenge but still a very nicely composed and lit photo and the hand shadow skills are awesome. Got to be a contender for one of the best ever Browns!

A gorgeous brown indeed!! (I gave it a 7 - I loved the sentiment of it. On a cold winter night, or in a tent in the woods, hand shadows are wild in their own way, you know?) Congrats!
