This one comes from Eternity Beach on the Island of Oahu. The beach is named after the movie "From Here to Eternity" (winner of 8 Academy Awards in 1953). This is the beach where Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr made their sexy (for the times) love scene in the ocean waters. I shot this image shortly after sunrise on December 26th.

I was going to say this is a nice clear image then I saw the red/blue noise in the sand and on the rock followed by the yellow noise in the water. For me its a bit distracting. I would say to make this less distracting crop it off just above the stone/rock/formation on the left hand side just above center. Crop that off completely and only keep the top. The soft pastel sky is nice and the silhouette of the structure is ice. But the water on beach and such is not.

Beautiful fine sand, nice golden light on the incoming surf. I like the silhouette on the rock. It seems as though you have some funkiness going on with the sand around your rock in the left foreground. It appears to be an aqua color...is this clipping? It would have been a simple clone job.

as in "From Here To..."? Looks familiar. Very well shot!

I wish that there were more details in the shadows. The soft hue in the sky is lovely, but the darkness I can't get beyond. Still a nice photo. 6
