I'm going to bed. Looks like this will land in the mid fours -- where's your sense of humor, DPC? I guess it wasn't sublime enough...

But I'm not bitter! Hell, this was fun. Steve nailed me for (or maybe credited me with) anti-composition, and that was deliberate on my part. For example, I could easily have moved the rum bottle, but in my opinion, it's part of the story. (This is a candid challenge, remember.) For that matter, my only problem with it was that it wasn't more visible.

This was one of three shots I considered. Here's a quick and dirty triptych I put together:

Hey, I gave it a high vote in spite of the anti-composition! As I said, it's a great catch of a moment and that's what candid is about. Besides, you know I love the quirky stuff. I also intended to hand out shoehorns for humor before rollover, but forgot. This was going to get one even before I knew it was yours.

Quality wise, an average and poorly composed snapshot, but you also captured a fantastic moment. I would also be showing this off if I had crashed a copter on Aunt Jane. I hope she has a sense of humor.

It's too bad that the bottle is in the way and the image couldn't have been framed more on Aunt Jane and her battle with the helicopter. A good moment and the look on her face is priceless. Keep refining. keep shooting.
