Thanks everyone for your votes and comments. Not exactly sure how the focus works, but this is a huge crystal ball, about the size of a soccer ball. Focusing in it for some reason is a different distance than the background.

Creative image. I like the focus on the sphere and the nice DOF for the background blur. This image draws me in where I'm looking at the sphere and comparing it to the background to figure out the the buildings and shapes. Very cool.

Interesting effect. Is the ball acting as a part of the lens system, allowing the background to be blurred while the same buildings are in focus in the ball? Or is this all a post processing trick? I like it either way.

This is kinda fun. I only say kinda because the large x is a distraction in the main image however I see in the ball what its too and it works there. Just not in the larger image. Also there is a type of clarity I am missing. Something just does not seem to hold it together. However it is creatively capture and composed.
