I'm bumping this to a seven. It's kind of creepy though I'm not sure why. Very intriguing anyway... |

If I were to guess, I might say Paul (paulbtw) because he does cool things with fishes. Whoever it is, this rocks. One of my top picks for this challenge. |

I really like the treatment here. Kind of semi-creepy looking. Is this a negative image? Usually I don't care for them, but it really suited this shot. |

it looks really cool! although did you use any overlays? seems like it might not go along with the rules... maybe. |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: I love this. Fantastic post processing that is a perfect match for the image - it has a frozen look about it. The bubbles at the top are spectacular and the red eye works really well. I love the vignette too and the starkness of the blown parts of the image. Nailed.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all.
Overall: A great image - I'm looking forward to seeing who put this together. Bumped to a 10. |

Unusual treatment of this photographic capture works quite well. The red eye of course is what the viewer immediately goes to but then the black and white defines every fin, every spot, every gill and makes you see the beauty of the Fish. A new way of looking at a less than oft considered subject. |

Interesting image. Not quite sure what I think of it but I do know it does not blow me out of the water. Im assuming this is a negative b/w maybe even a bit of solarization or something. Maybe not. Im sure it has its place but for here it is not quite. |

Loved this from the get go. Like an x-ray but not really. The pop of that red/orange eye is great. The bubbles at the top add a nice frame. I hope this does well for you. Happy New Year. 7 |
