First impression:
Ah, the queen of self portraits. Great start to the challenge. The border and the b&w edit go really well together. Is the border made using a brush or an action? I really like it
Suggested improvement:
Nothing I can think of right now. |

Black and white was a good choice for this one. The contrast is excellent. The border is a very nice touch and goes well with the image. The only thing I might try and do is clone out some of the blurry snowflakes in the foreground. |

Love the vintage feel this has, very nice black and white. Great smile and positioning in the frame and of course the snowy hat is just so cute! |

I love those hats but when I take them off my bangs are like every which-a-way so good thing I don't live where it's that cold. You look adorable. I love your harsh contrast! |

Great portrait! Your subject is well lit and pops from the background yet the image looks very natural. The best work looks almost effortless and this is a great example. |

really good job with the conversion and the border. I like the symmetry of the lamp posts coming up from her shoulders. It looks like it was a really bright day esp with all that snow so the model is squinting a little bit which detracts from the shot a little bit and I cannot think of an easy way to avoid it in those conditions normally I would use a diffuser to block the sunlight, here I doubt that would work. |

can almost feel the snow on that hat - you are one of the best shooters on the site. Always a great photo from you. Hope I can learn a little. |

Very nicely done with respect to getting the face right/clothes yet having a bright enough background so it is non-intrusive yet adds interest. Frame works well. |

Old age is catching up with me (again) . . I was sure that I had already commented on this - but unless Iwas using invisible ink it looks like I was wrong . .
Really cool shot - love the sharpness of yourself aginst the snowy, hazy, indistinct background, and the border fits perfectly.
Oh and a happy smile as well ! I wouldn't be smiling if I was standing in snow so long that it had started to gather on my hat

Must be nice to have such a cute model to work with ;) funny, almost feels like we have seen you grow up just a little bit on here...wern't you about 15 when you started here? you have a bright future in photography, alot of talent right now and i reckon a whole bunch untapped. |

So wonderful to hear your good feelings. Love this!!!
Embrace every moment, good or bad. If it's bad, stop and think "What can I learn. What did this teach me?" Happy New Year. |

Focus, lighting, composition, border - all work really well here. Nice to see a wide angle lens getting some portrait use.
Great stuff. |
