there is too much of the out of focus foreground

I think the sand in the foreground really detracts from this photo, sorry :(

Doesn't work for me. Too bad the sand isn't in focus. The waves look good. The headline needs something, I'm not sure what. In the center of the picture in the middle of that wave, is that the surfer? If so, he/she's quite difficult to make out.

The quoted phrase doesn't fit for a headline. Your headline might be better as: Surfer goes missing...right after this photo taken!

Nice shot of wave. Don't really care for blurred sand.

Very funny. I like it.

I can see why you had to get so low to capture the surfer, but the relatively large out-of-focus foreground is rather distracting.

Very nice picture, you take it on the right moment.

Congratulations

My eyes keep drifting to the bottom of this picture..But I hope they found the surfer...alive.

this would do well in the extraordinary, as well. :]

Good photo (would like to see some detail of the surfer in question.) But your headline should just stop after the first sentence in my opinion)

there is too much going on at the bottom of the photo. but it is a great shot! The wave breaking is wonderful and the surfer adds an interesting touch. too bad he went missing, heh.
