 A street performer at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Taken a bit before the tourist crowds showed up for the daily cattle drive reenactment. I had a good opportunity to sit and listen to him play, and to take some photos with good light and without other distractions.

In keeping with my new commitment to not enter anything I am not personally pleased with, I am very happy with this one. I had about 6 shots similar to this, but I chose this shot because he has a bit of a sad, longing look on his face. In reality, he was quite upbeat and pleasant.

Anticipated critiques:
-I don't personally see any real problems with this one. If anything at all, someone may think the background is too busy.
-Since the writing on the window reveals this as being in Texas, I am curious if someone will nail this as my entry.

Excellent composition but perhaps just a wee bit flat - not much you could do about that, though, other than add artificial light or wait for real light to creep in somewhere.

A tighter crop on the right would add focus to the guitar player. Or, alternatively, cropping away the left wold havehadhim looking into the picture. There's too much here;the guitar player gets lost.

I like the composition of your shot. Going down to his level certainly helps to be drawn into the picture and explosre more.
