This shot is part of a series based on Trinity of the Matrix Movies.

Photo specs:
1) Done in a studio setup with a white painted wall as a backdrop.
2) I used 4 strobes. Two infront at 45 degrees and two behind above her at 45 degrees.
3) We used a real machine gun (unloaded of course).
4) I shot this at F-11 and a shutter of 125 at 100 ISO.
5) model grunged up to look a bit rough and mean (she is really a sweetey in real life)
7) I used the 50 mm up to get this perspective and took advantage of the little distortion it provides

Processing techniques used:
1) did levels at each channel (RGB)
2) DId curves to find true whites and blacks
3) did selective Coloring and darkened the reds a little
4) Dodge the face and burn the hair to bring those out a bit more.
5) made the background pure white by using levels and layers
7) Did selective saturation and selective colors
8) Sharpened eyes and lips

another intense image - not crazy about the harsh lighting on her forehead but it does allow us to focus on the freaked out eyes and mouth - good work as usual!

i have never seen the matrix but i like this series, i would like to see more sharpness on the weapon as it seems to be a prominent part of the shot but i dont know what aperature you were shooting

Yikes - kind of scared . . . LOL

Excellent detail in that coat - which couldn't have been easy to light.

awesome expression, i love the distortion, and the angle you took this really emphasizes how big that gun is and how its about to blow someone to bits!

Nicely posed and composed action shot. Lighting is stellar as usual. Colors are great. Face looks a bit gritty -- depending on what look you want to create, I would either make is smoother or more gritty.

I was waiting to see if there was a close up in this series. Good action and emotion. It would be cool if you could make a composite with a futuristic city scene in the background. Just a thought.
