 Shot in natural light between somebody else's strobes against a very dark blue background and then subjected to a couple of Nik Software's Color Efex filters: Bleach Bypass and then Film Effects (I think).

I think it only really works where an image already has high contrast that is 'working' for you. My favourite image where I used that filter is this one:

I liiiiike it! She has a perfect look for that edgy processing. What an excellent use of bleach bypass. I don't think I've ever been able to pull off using that filter where it looked good like this. Here, it looks very much like it belongs and just naturally fits with the look you went for. She's very pretty too by the way. This could be a book cover :)

Oh, I really like this processing. Bleach Bypass is one of my favorites in Nik. This is a pretty cool shot, the lighting is excellent.
