All the confidence I've developed for street photography has gone down the drain. I went to the Sunday market (Ironically they have a super sized walmart-esque store right across the street where everything imaginable is sold including food, drink all wrapped in plastic. This place is still more popular) with my gran and I was petrified. I barely took a few pictures from the hip but it was all lost. I was so disappointed because you can see this place was FULL of amazing people. Even if everyone participating in this challenge decided to have a gtg we'd sill have enough people to get everyone a unique candid.

I suck at this.. bah!

Though on a positive note I've got a few other portraits of people who asked me to take their images.. I didn't choose them because, while this is a flawed image in many ways, I loved the energy of it and it does't conform to portrait rules either. I guess this is going down because of that.. Oh well.

Now, I've got to get printouts for people I've promised to give them their portraits.

If selling the peas is the subject, I would probably recommend cropping the right side a bit. I dont think you would loose too much by doing that, and cropping down the top to bring the photograph in the same proportions... this way you have more of a focus on the pea sellers, instead of all the distractions in the background.

Excellent story telling shot. I wish there man in front was making eye contact with the camera so we could think of it as his story. Right now it's "a" story with the subject being the scene rather than a person. Still a great shot. 8

I'd prefer a much tighter crop bringing the two chaps in the foreground towards the edge of the frame and bringing the top down to around the head height of all the sitting people. I suppose this is a very subjective thing though. Nice clarity and focus, and vivid colours.

Nice group shot, nice atmosphere, but way more than one. The people in the background with their heads cut off are a distraction. Cropping tight to the tops of the heads of the seated people, or shooting from a higher angle, would have eliminated them.
