I'm enjoying this B&W series. I like the square crop which works well with a circular subject. However, while not shooting something head on usually provides interest and dynamics, I don't think that's the case here. I'd prefer a straight on composition to allow the symmetry to stand out. Here, the slighty skew to the wheel detracts from the image instead of enhancing it. |

Cool shot, I love the great contrast as most everyone else has said. I also like all the great shapes that are created by the spokes. The detail is amazing. |

Great shot. If you more your eye round the spokes it does actually look like its moving a bit. weird!

Never saw this in B&W. It's quite striking. Before I saw this, I would have said that it wouldn't work, but it looks terrific! |

What's black and white and grey all over?? This image!! I think you did a great job here. To an untrained eye the lighting looks overblown, but the fact that it is consistently overblown throughout the image makes it purposeful. Combine that with the dark shadows of the black background and the greys of the foreground and this proves to be a well planned and thought out photo. A wonderful tri-tone image! |
