Very cute, lovely hair. Regarding the focus issue, I think if you cropped a good amount off the bottom then less of the image will be out of focus, and you will have a much stronger image.

What a pretty little girl. She very much looks like the family princess. Yes, for 2.8, I think it may be remarkable. I can barely get a nose in focus at 2.8. But I bet her mom adores this picture.

well i think you're right, at an fstop of 2.8 its gonna do that, still a nice dof and funny expression

Perhaps I'm being a little harsh but it seems to me that focus is missed here - the ribbon and fringe (bangs) are really sharp, but not the face - perhaps that was your intention? It can work.
