This is the image to kick off my Photo A Week 2010.

This is my beautiful wife. Not my greatest shot but a good start the year. Single light setup with reflector to fill in the shadows.

I really like tack-sharp portraits. This one is particularly good, IMO.

I find studio lighting hard to do. Looks like you've got a good handle on it.

The inspiration for my wife is her own whimsical mind. She loves to doodle. When we decided to do the shot, she sat down and doodled out a design on paper and then used it to draw the design on her face.

Great portrait. I really like the pose your wife is in. The light to me is just a little too harsh, but it has created great textures.

Very pretty shot. Great clarity too. Lighting looks great! What is your inspiration for the artwork on her face?

Thanks for posting your setup. I'm wanting to get into studio portraits myself and am always interested to read about simple light set ups. This is beautiful.

Yep, that's a beautiful wife. Good portrait that has her as a woman and not a piece of plastic fluff :) Reaches out and grabs.
