adorable picture- the desaturation is done very well- it's not my favorite (only because of the color), but the expression is just amazing and the composition is superb. Well done!

Looks like an unfinished product. If you had removed the red hues from the grass background and face of the dog this might have worked for you. If you can't see these colors on your monitor - then I sudgest calibrating it.

Great capture of the expression on the dog's face. I notice that one eye is brown and the other one is a bit darker, so I can't really tell iff it is totally in color. Too bad about clipping off the top of it's ear. I would like more of an even crop: with both ears distance from the edge the same. I love black labs (have one myself), thier eyes can just say it all. Nice job.

I like this shot. I have a friend with a Lab/Greyhound (we think) mix who looks very, very similar - up until recently she even had the same collar. My only issue with the shot for the challenge is I can just make out a rectangle of color around the eyes. It's distracting, and I'd bet the shot would look much better with a tighter selection around the eyes.

there seems to be a slight pink hue to the background and across the dog's eyes. the blue collar definetly sticks out on the black and white.

just random thinking. in thinking of a reason why there is a slight pink hue, i remembered that my best friend is color blind and i know of people who can't tell the difference between pink and white. don't take offense if this is not the case. sometimes i throw off the wall comments out there.

What a sweet looking doggie. Good choice of colors.

the dog's head is 2 different colors, it would look better if it was one or the other.

Another dog. And he's staring right at me...

there is a pink streak across the dogs face.

beautiful pic but for me the conversion of the backgorund to grey doesn't enhance it. Presumably its grass but now its grey it just looks like gravel so its almost as if nothing has been done to the pic. Hope this makes sense

Pretty good, but it's not exactly obvious that the image was desaturated.

Not really selectively desaturated. There's still color in other places.
