I really enjoyed this photo. Truly classic looking work. It was among my top ten picks. I didn't really pay attention to the title when voting so I didn't notice there was a lighthouse. I guess that hurt you a bit. I don't care about the lighthouse. I love the way the frame is occupied by the shoreline, the sky, and the rocks in the distance.

The lighthouse plays only a minor role here; this is a photograph of the beach. A wonderful and dramatic one! Nice tonal range and great composition.

This is a dramatic landscape/marine photo then I take the title into account. I had to struggle to locate the lighthouse. I presume it's the tiny thing on the top of the rocks. Contrast is also a bit dark and flat.
