GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
Awww, Kelli, what a super shot with fabulous expression on that critter's face and those eyes! Wow.
Alas, this image didn't score well, even taking into consideration the extraordinary competition in the "Best of..." Challenge.
first, I think you were the victim of the 'zoo shot' phobia that seems to be going around right now. second, I put this on my own computer and cropped in a touch more and messed with "Selective Colors" to punch up the colors and found this guy comes alive with some stronger coloration - not much, just a touch. third (and final, honest!) the foreground blur might have caused some viewer problems. You know how people are, unless it's there for a strong reason, they are too lazy(?) to look over the blur to the main attraction.
Okay, that's it. You know you have a good capture here, and so do I. Keep up the very good work.

Very nice eye-contact capture. I like the processing. The face seems to be processed with more definition and contrast than the rest of the shot. Makes it look 3-D. |

Again, another score I don't understand. I think the face is incredible! I gave it a 7! |

I really like this and love your processing. I really don't understand the score. It should be way higher. |

Looks like he's wearing makeup, I'm guessing that was down to the editing, topaz?
Nice enough shot, good light, exposure etc, but not particularly outstanding that makes it sit apart from the rest I'm afraid. |

Foreground distracting and the light really breaks this pic down. Pity about other pumas rear showing . Lovely eyes |

Looks a little flat in terms of contrast but the eyes really pop out |

I wish the rump/tail of the other cat was not in the shot. |

Oh man you could just about fall into those eyes! Pity about the blur at the back of the facing animal, I know it's hard when they move. You've certainly got your focus where it counts but the rest of the shot seems so busy it detracts a bit and you have to search for the focal point again. If the top section had been cropped off a bit more perhaps it would have looked a bit better IMO. Still an 8 from me though. |

these beasts are so beautiful aren't they...IMO waiting just a few 1/2 seconds longer and you would've had the ass end of the other mountain lion out of the frame...just saying...beautiful focus and great colors |

Lovely on many levels....it seems just the very slightest bit flat which is why I'm only giving it a 7. |

The cat's head looks good, perhaps a bit over processed. But the second cat's rear really diminishes this for me. |

Nice gaze you captured on the cat. Shame about the one in the background. Did you use topaz or HDR on this? Bordering on too much in my opinion. The focus and clarity on the face is wonderful though. |

The focus seems a little soft but the exposure is nice and bright. |
