 This was taken under a balcony in my backyard. I used a flash and a remote control for the camera. After the Wild Bird challenge I set out a feeder to see how many of these guys were around. There are a lot of them!

Nice capture, and I like the idea of flash & remote. The red seems a bit off to me on my monitor, it's almost as if something got missed in editing.

very nice capture of the hummer. Did you really use ISO 1000? There seems to be a lot of strange jpg artifacts or something..maybe it is from noise reduction? Anyway, love the colors and composition.

I always love to see the hummingbird photos that appear on DPC. We do not have that species of bird over here, so it's about as close as I will get to one.

I really want to get a picture of one of these some day. This one has such pretty colors. I love the shimmery green/gold color.

Interesting house to wander around I guess. What a beautiful capture! The background and chin up of the bird make it appear as if it is swimming on the red sea.

This is very interesting. It has a very 2D collage effect for me. I like it, excellent motion freeze. The areas of graininess do bother me a little, especially because they are not uniform.
