 Delicate are the electron pulses that radiate randomly in all directions inside an 8" plasma lighting ball. This image was taken from about 6" distance with a tripod- mounted Sony A100 DSLR and 18-70mm zoom lens at 35mm in a dark room. The flat blue ribbon consists of closely spaced electron streams heading to my fingertip which is touching the outside of the container on the left. A beautiful sight in the dark.
