 A thin crust of ice was forming on a small stream of rainwater. As the water receded some air bubbles appeared under the ice.
Crop, levels, desaturate, colour balance, s/h, resize, sharpen.

Perhaps it is thin ice but the clear patterns in it are quite beautiful. They are not as random as would first be assumed as the water does freeze in precise patterns. These overlapping crackles are magnicently delicate as is the mound of fallen snowcap.
