| Fret not the votes. I didn't receive any 10s - you at least got one of those! If you let this place grind you down based on 2s, 3s and 4s, it ain't much fun. I know - I've let it do that to me. I get tired of myself when that happens. :-) As for this shot, amazing detail and color - you really did an excellent job of presenting this guy. |

Thanks to all the 2, 3 and 4 votes. I don't think this image deserved that.

| Did your research as well huh? Excellent shot, and good title too! I really like that you managed to get into a position that allowed for the dragonfly to be nearly perfectly in the plane of focus. Well done - and thank you for not over saturating this, it's really much better for that. --- Background looks really good here too, the variations of green brown and black are very interesting and add to the image in a significant way. |

| Wow. Everything works here and love the long narrow leaves empahsizing the the lengthy body as well/ The only thing that distracts is the Brown older leave running across and through the tail end. 8 |

| Beautiful coloration captured of this insect in it's natural environment. Love the level of detail we can see in the latices of the dragonfly's wings. Great close-up shot. |
