 Our main street is a place where people come to have a good time. There are excellent restaurants, nice independent shops, and lots of music at night. The energy on Atlantic Ave. is very high, and that is what I wanted to capture -- the energy of people enjoying Atlantic Ave.

This strikes me more as a (very good) "street" photo than a main street one. The stories here are local and personal: the guy on the phone hearing Vanilla Ice is back on tour, the wall of suits protecting their feeding grounds from encroaching commuters.

34th place not too bad but I think this should have scored higher. It is still one of my favorites in this challenge.

the first two things that catch my eye in this are 1st thing - the guy with the cig on the phone, then the 3 business men on the left (plus one but he's barely visible) - all 3 seem to be looking to the left and all 3 have the same basic arm swing going on - then I'm drawn deeper into the picture - I have to pull back to see the folks at the table - I like this picture very much
