Moody shot. You have a feeling a storm is on its way.

This is a lovely scene but it seems a bit dark on my monitor, although that may have been your intent.

I'd love to have a cottage that looks like this. I went to your blog and I have to say that I prefer Outtake #2 to this shot. The building is the star of the show and that outtake does a better job of enhancing the details and colors of the home. I did like the perspective you used in Outtake #1 too.

There's a little bit of a 'have to squint to look at it' about this, but it does present a place that looks like the scene of a good few creature comforts in its history.

I think the sky has suffered a bit in this one for some reason. There are some halos around the trees on the right and the chimney on the house. I find it so difficult to get it just right so that doesn't happen. It's a pity, because the house itself and the rest is spot on. Have you tried using the exposure blending/fusion option in Photomatix? Same principle mulitple images of different exposures. Give it a go, I have used it a few times recently and really liked the results. Very subtle but does the job.

I like the toned down shades in this shot. Most people think HDR is about lots of vivid colors but I think the point is to capture a good range of colors & you did that in this shot.

By the way, I've been enjoying your blog. I read yours and a few others who are doing the PAW blog and the stories really add to the photos.
