from another piece of the image with more pixels. I still don't grasp the principle of multiple twirls (oh, okay, spirals) but after rotating the original 45° I filled in the white space with orange. That carried through the rest of the composition. Fun! I also intensified the colors a lot.

This one turned out well. It's all a matter of experimentation. It sometimes takes a few iterations of the rotation process for the swirl to appear.
