Greetings from the Critique Club.
First impressions are that this has been over processed to look unnatural. I do see good detail however.
Technically the processing is ok but it's one of those things that people either love or hate. The composition works well and I like the border.
Artistically this has a good story to tell. The emptiness of the scene allows us to study the buildings at the side of the road and wonder why it is so quiet.
In summary this is a good shot but the processing is a double-edged sword. In this case it worked to your advantage (given the score clearly more people liked it than didn't).
Feel free to PM me if you have any queries.

Sorry if you didn't appreciate some of the comments. It's a photo judging site so it's all subjective. This particualr work did not do it for me. I prefer the less processed look.
After going through your other submissions I found a lot of things I absolutely loved. I would love to see the original of this one. I bet I like it too. |

Photo was taken at 6.30a.m. before all the party weary tourists had risen.
I used Topaz and spent ages backing off the settings so it didn't look too over processed.
Not enough for some people I guess.
Thanks for the votes and the other great comments. |

Neat! This is similar to what I envisioned doing, had I been able to enter this challenge. Of course, I'm years away from approaching this quality of work, so I'm glad someone with your talent did it! :) 10, and I hope you snag a ribbon! |

THis would have been good, with the receding lines and all working for it, but it looks overprocessed. It no longer looks like a photograph. The photo lost it's soul.
I would have scored it higher if not for that. |
