Very nice shot. The motion blur actually adds a lot to the photo, as does the negative space. 9 |

Would have been an impressive photo had it been in focus! Faster shutter speed. |

Lovely alliteration in your headline. How difficult it is to get a crisp shot under the usual circumstances (no flash?) at a performance...and you did capture her face with a beautiful expression! I think, especially for this challenge, that black and white might have been a better choice than the sepia tone. Nice example of how to capture the feel of dance. Luck. |

Great picture and title for this challenge. Considering this is a newspaper challenge - a little noise from a higher ISO setting would have helped give it the newspaper look, and, allowed for an increase of shutter speed so the arms, face and body would be in near perfect focus while the arms scarf and legs still blured to show motion. With that said, this is still a GREAT shot because you caught her in the perfect pose. Excellent work. |

You've captured this at the perfect moment, one stop faster on the shutter and It'd be a 10 for this challenge, the headline (title) and picture are great... I suspect you were pussing your luck with the shutter speed though, ballet lighting is often quite soft for photography. |

Great capture. I think it would be a much greater capture without the motion blur. Shorten your shutter speed but open your aperture. This might give you a cool shot too. |

This would be so great if some part of it were in focus. I like the blur, don't get me wrong, but with motion blur photos their should be some sharp areas or else it just looks like camera shake. Using your slow sync flash would give you some motion blur but freeze some of the action so that there is some sharpness. I have absolutely no complaints with the capture and the composition. Both are perfect. I think you meant the headline to read, ...in Brazil but if English is your second language I can see where the mistake occured. One of the better one's I've seen, in spite of the technical issues. |

Nice capture lots of negative space however and that is why I only scored you an 8 in what could have been higher if circumstances were better in this shot.
Good Luck
Cheers

Nice composition and idea. This would be much better if the motion blur was reduced. |

a very worthwhile attempt ! just a few milliseconds and a bit more focus and this could have been a 10 |

Good photo, great capture (Too bad you couldn't use a higher shutter for how much light you had to work with to freeze the action) Good attempt anyway. |

a little faster shutter speed and this would have been a keeper |

beautiful shot... my if it wasn't so head on, from an angle, it would have given it more dimension and possibly less blurry |

This must have been hard in such low light. |
