it's my first challenge and enjoyed converting the natural "hot" colors of the pic to "cooler" ones.

Almost,...this would be great as an acrylic or oil painting, but the artist would have to enhance the flame. Truly a difficult shot to make it look easy. I think that a higher ISO and a quicker shutter-speed would improve the end-result. Sorry, but a 3 for the "hot spot." :(

Unfortunately the flame is invisible since overexposed and yet I find the rest a bit too dark. This concept has potential and would have been great if correctly exposed.

i think the metal ornament actually detracts from the 'hotness' of the candle
