GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
You saw this lovely "S" curve when you were out walking in the woods and couldn't resist.
I don't blame you. It is a pleasant scene. In your "october drive" you veered off the path and took your shot from an angle which made that shot appealing. I wonder if a different angle would have provided interest to the viewer this time as well. You may have anticipated this observation and took many pics from various angles, and this was the one that 'spoke' to you. So, this is just a thought.
I do know that a bit of Levels and Curves would have brightened up this shot enormously. There is plenty of sunlight and shadow here that would add interest to the scene. Barring a nice bright red mushroom or flower it helps to have lots of lights and darks to keep the viewer in the scene.
That's about all I can find to critique in this very pleasant image. I look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC and hope these little observations are helpful to you.

Interestingly curvy path leading into the woods. Many of the trees look oddly blue on top, like a blue gradient filter was applied over the whole top of the image. Kinda' creepy effect. |
