 Taken with +2 and +4 macro rings. Since the leaf's not flat and macro rings lead to a very narrow DOF, I wound up with a blurry spot in the upper right that I couldn't fix. To even it out, I decided to blur the outside edges all the way around.

Focus was a bit soft at the center, too, so I had to fiddle with overlaying Levels layers to sharpen things up properly.

To answer Ja-9's question: I guess I just got lucky with the "clean" leaf. I didn't have to do any dusting or anything. The leaf was underlit--I don't know if that has anything to do with the "clean" look. Also, this leaf was from the same plant in the "Delicate II" challenge:



... so its being a fresh young indoor plant might have helped. I dunno.

what I would like to know is how did you get such a super "clean" as in no dirt shot...I've done some of these leafs and there always seems to be some dirt that I have to clean off...but it leaves residue where I clean them off...I even carry little brushes with me to clean them...super, super clear picture...got to love the deep vivid green color...well done

Love the texture in and lighting. Not sure why the edges are blurred. Would have preferred crisp all the way out.
