Windsor Place. The largest plantation ever built in Mississippi in the 1890's. It didn't last long, it burned down about six years after it was completed. It was used as a backdrop for the Movie "Rain Tree County" with Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Cliff shot in the early fifties. Nice color and angle, good shot. Hopefully you also had the time to visit the Church while you were there. Both of these are way off the beaten path. |

this makes me smile...I have a shot of this in my portfolio...did you happen to find the First Baptist Church of Rodney?...it was just down the road...a very curvy long road I might add...not on GPS either...beautiful place isn't it and amazing that the columns still stand... |
