 St Kilda boat ramp just after sundown.

Adjustments: Levels, small amount of Neat Image to get rid of the grain, cropped about 1cm off the bottom to get rid of the fence.

I would see this more as a journalistic photo if there were a human element or some more immediate indication of something newsworthy.Those few missing planks don't quite cut it. It's a very nice photo but it doesn't quite work as photojournalism in spite of the headline.

Very nice picture, a little too dark for a newspaper print. I think I would have adjusted the levels up a bit to bring emphasis to dock and less on the weather, which is the feeling I get from the darkness. Unless that is what you was going for...a storm coming in and blowing the dock away...then smack me.

love the way you shot the dock and the choppy water with the storm clouds coming in. i also like how you can see the lights on the bridge are on. great picture

As an art photo the dusk shot of this works but I have to wonder if a newspaper might not want a daytime shot that more clearly shows the boat ramp.

Great photo (would've liked to see the ramp slightly more detailed - lightened slightly) Headline slightly lacking. Something about a hurricane would've worked well for it. /shrug
