Thank you to everyone else. I am not a newspaper person so I had no idea what title to put. I have now learned...I think.

A difference of maybe 15-30 min. if that, could catch the sun lower behind trees, cutting down on the brightness, yet still catching interesting shadows.

I just want to thank you for your comment. This really helps when someone gives me a tip and not just a critique. Thanks so much. I will try that.

That shot would certainly ruffle feathers in the press - it's a lovely wood to lose. If this is true then it's very sad. OK it's not a car park at least, but it does still do a lot of damage to the local species.

Photographically, it's flawed (blown sky) but the shadows are great.

Nice dramatic lighting and good end result in what looks like a tricky situation to get the right exposure. 7

This is a nice photo, I like the long shadows. I have one problem about the title. It is editorialized. Why you may think it is a beautiful park, the reader may not. With headlines try to stick to the facts. Say this photo is for a story about local citizens upset that this park is going to become a golf course. How about "Proposed Course Location Angers Locals" The story and caption could tell the reader where the location is.

Ok, I guess that qualifies. Stretching a bit, are we?

Bad lighting. Can't see very much detail in the top of the middle tree.

Pretty good photo. Decent headline. (news is _supposed_ to be unbiased!)

It is a beautifull park. I think though that the picture is a bit overexposed and I am not sure how it fits the challenge.
