Opened in CS3 - smart sharpen 100%, 2.0 radius.

Cropped, resized.

Tonal contrast Nik Efex - made the details pop and intensified the colors.

Redfield Fractalius - on a setting with maximum saturation. Reduced the application to 30%.

Hue/Sat - increased saturation.
Layers - increased brightness and contrast.

Redfield Perfectum for smoothing.

Smart sharpen. Save.

Funny thing about this is that from the thumb I thought 'Yikes!' but I absolutely love it! I think I'm going to have to get myself Redfield Fractalius.

You know, I have that program too, but purchased the Nik program at about the same time, and never really explored Redfield. You did and I sure do envy your excellent work on this.

back to the drawing board.

I love this and can't stop looking at it. I might have cropped it off just before the grass tops on the left. Just noticed as I was scrolling up that it makes a bit of a difference in the composition.

But I absolutely love the character that you have given this one.
