Not sure I understand the low placement of this one. Pay closer attention the the detail of the lighting on the base. |

Would be much more interesting to show the actual wires inside the bulbs ... as some people did. |

off-beat but pleasing. I like the red halo. |

Nicely captured. I like the top right corner of this - the silver screw mount, the bulb and red halo. Possibly even the top bit of the plastic with just the writing on. I'd like to crop it to just include those elements... The rest of the plastic bit does nothing at all for me although if it has to be included the composition is certainly more interesting than it would have been centred. 6, Kavey |

Interesting red glow. I like the lightbulb idea and the contrast of the pure black background. The lamp itself is kind of an awkward shape without the shade, but then I'm not sure how else you could easily see the bulb... |

Good color. One of the better pictures for this challenge. |

Bet this turned out better than you thought it would. I like it very much. I love the red glow around the light bulb. Great idea and good shot. I don't particularly like the crop though. Forget the 1/3 with a straight up and down object such as this. It is the full height of the pic. But still a good pic. PTL |

I like it. Nice dark background, and the light has a neat little aura. Jacko. 8 |

Right off the bat, I'm glad to see you aren't afraid to leave some neg space. Not dead center....good! Focus is good. Red glow is interesting....wonder how ya got that. I can't really see the artistic merit in showing the label. What does it really add to the image??? But that could be what you meant to focus on. Anyway, best of luck in the challenge. 6 Grayce |

I love the red glowing effect. How was that done? |

I think a tighter crop would of helped this shot for me. It's done well otherwise. |

A hard exposure to get right but you've made a good attempt. The very black and very white subjects are at the extremes of what you could get away with and the silver on the bulb seems to have suffered a bit as a result. It is well composed, and the glow/ halo around the bulb works quite well. I think I might have preferred it with a shorter exposure, almost to the point of just seeing a glowing filament, perhaps ? |

This is good shot. I would like it even better if you had turned the lamp so that the "caution" label didn't show. |

This is too far off center for my taste. It looks like an obvious attempt at being "artsy". The pic is good as is, but better with better framing. - Inspzil |
