I have always admired chairs and their design, especially chairs of the 50's. I had this miniature Classic Bentwood Bistro chair and wanted to pictorially compare it's size to something. I saw the egg and had the idea to use the relationship with another famous chair, the Egg Chair.

I shot this on a shiny laminated white surface against a white wall using a reflector disk in natural light.

Post processed this image in PS adjusting levels and brightness. I sharpened the image, slightly cropped, cloned a small spot on the egg and colour balanced the background.

I feel that the chair might be overexposed a bit and the shiny spot on the egg bothered me. The horizon shadow in the middle of the image is where the buffet and the wall met, no curved studio walls here, do you think it detracts?

All feedback welcomed. My first DPC image, yeah.

WELCOME!

Great first image. Love the idea, and the tones.

I think the voters probably wanted it a bit clearer focus all round, they tend to be like that here.

Personally I would have preferred the egg being completely in focus, from front till back. Arne Jacobsen would have loved your word game :)
