Nice picture - for me it would be improved if the chair was straight - I took some pictures of the custodfian's chairs in a gallery today and I had to walk over and straigten them first - I don't like the title though - a bit too literal for my taste

A good still life and study in contrasts.

I like the complete set-up. Even the distortion in the floor doesn't bother me.

Love the set-up here. I think the post-processing could have taken it to a higher level though. 7

i don't know how this image will do, but certainly has something which i like it; it gives me a strong feeling of desolation + all elements seem to fit so well, the plant being the cherry on the top.

This is a very striking image and emotional image. Normally I would say that you should have moved the plant and stand so that the socket was covered but I think it works in this situtation. The lighting may be just a tad bit too strong but mostly this is a great image! Job well done!

Love the grit. I gather the plant is meant to symbolize hope? It took me a minute to make that connection--would have liked to see the plant figure a little more prominently in the composition if it's to be conceptually half of the photo (as judged by the title). Possibly dragging out the end table/crate from the wall a bit would have been enough.
