| I don't usual find photos of 'food' appealing. This is one of the best I've seen a some time. You did well on your lighting and colors. Congrats and keep up the good work. |

| very nice photo. makes me hungry! looks like it would go in the fine dining section of the news. only critique I would dare add to this is a little saturation to boost all the colours of the different foods. 7 |

| Good shot, worthy of being in the Wine and Dining section of the paper. Maybe just a bit warmer lighting would calm down those hot spots on a few of the pieces of lettuce that seem to be over powered a lose detail. DOF could have been a tiny bit deeper as we are starting to lose detail of the salad items near the back edge of the plate. It's a very nice shot, I like the composition. |

| Good effort. I wish the image was just a bit sharper. The depth of field is really, really good and looks like the work of a professional. Lighting for this kind of shot is so difficult, but you've pulled it off wonderfully. 7, only because of the lack of detail (would be a 9 from me otherwise). |

| I think you may have been better off trying to come up with a "headline" for the "Food" section that dealt with the recipe for this salad or something along those lines. Perhaps "[Food Section] Salads Perfect For Summer". Nice DOF, but the napkin seems haphazard and out of place. I'd also try cropping the extra plate off the top. |
