Pre-Production:
Simple shot to get together right? Took a little work to get the hat then the heart was...well read on. Spray painted the heart red so it could be a more solid color with no words written across it. I then cut as clean a jagged line that I could (some lines are not super straight for I messed up - but maybe that is a good thing for it makes it more 'jagged'). Outlined edges with sharpie to hide white edges. Also placed black paper in the heart so when it was slightly cracked open the white would not show.

Hopefully the emotion of wanting to hide one's self and the sadness of heartbreak conveys well in this image.
