Just saw your thread... My comments are, of course, just my opinion.
First let me say, she is stunning and I think this is a very good image.
My suggestions:
I think the light is a bit harsh andcould have benefited from some selective diffusion.
Is that her arm? Is she holding her arms above her head? I'm not sure why you chose to pose her that way.
A simple head study would have been stunning. If you were trying to use her clothing as an element, I would suggest having a second dress (?) draped as a background some distance away from your subject. Letting us focus on her facial details.
I feel the light being warm is a very good choice. The small bit of background that is grey, does not go with that theme though.
Still a very nice shot with a lot of potential. |

This is beautiful! The light is a tad bit harsh on the face but otherwise perfect. A 10 |

Lovely young lady in nicely composed shot. Your lighting is a bit flat though detracting from her lovely face and making it appear flat. Very tough exposure to get with the darker skin tones and very light colored garb. Nice job of capturing the textures in the cloth.

Really great range of colors while staying somewhat subdued and in control. Maybe a little over-sharpened for my taste; I can see a little haloing at the points of maximum contrast around the hair and clothing, and it heightens the reflections too. I'd probably tone down the reflections with the Clone or Burn tools before printing. Very nice overall. |

Nicely composed; skin appears a bit shiny in areas. Perhaps some curves or levels adjustments could enrich the lovely dark skin tones and help eliminate the shadowed area on the neck. Well done. :o) |

Lighting: The light is well suited for the model, but it seems to come from directly over your head. This has caused rather strong shadows under the nose, lips and chin, and flattened out your models features. Using two lights, a strong one from one side and another, weaker, from the other to fill in the shadows slightly would have corrected this.
Pose: Her pose is pleasant, but again the perspective is from straight on. it is generally more flattering for the model for the perspective to be from slightly above her eye level. On a related note, a portrait should be of the person you are taking the photo of, having someone else in the shot is distracting, particularly when they are not fully in the shot and are blocking some of the light that would have been better used lighting your model (top of head).
Background: The background is nice, although it is a bit close as there are pronounced shadows visible on it. |

beautiful model and shot. The only thing I would change here is the light, maybe less yellow and to use some kind of filter... the pose and the expression is great. Good luck |

There's something distracting about the arm that's portruding out of your model's head. I think you've cropped down a bigger photo -- I wonder if the full-sized picture would've worked better? |

this is a very interesting pic, I like the texture in the cloth and the color in her headband, but it needs softer lighting to eliminate the reflections from her lips, nose and forehead, and to bring the necklace out of shadow |

She has a very expressive face and wonderful jewelry and hair. Unfortunetely I can't seem to "sort out" the background. The "other" model really really detracts. If this model were alond against a unobtrusive background - it woul be in 10 territory. |

The beads of sweat on her face are reflecting a lot of light which draws attention away from the girl. I'm left staring at all the the shiny-ness. Cool hair. |

This is a beautiful model and I like the costume choice. Her face could have used powdering--it's awfully shiny. |

Upper right side? Her arm, distracting. The rest of the shot is really well done. Good entry. Good luck in the challenge. |
