 tried to take a pic of me and my boyfriend dancing, used a light from the top, with camera on a tripod above us. i used the 10sec delay so i can go get in the shot with him. was trying to put all the focus on us. tried to crop to it looked like we would be dancing into the rest of the frame. played with the contrast, saturation, and brightness a bit, then resized to fit requirements.

i am very pleased with how this pictured placed even though i knew it had some issues... the man's watch drove me crazy as soon as i put the pic on the computer, and i had to darken that shadows to reduce the wierd glare i was getting off the background, in my personal copy of this i was able to change those things (expcept for the watch), but didn't for the challenge since i was worried about breaking basic editing rules, ...i wasn't even going to enter this challenge since i thought it was the harder of the 2 challenges, but decided i'd go for it anyway and push my own limits... i'm so glad i did, because now i have (what i think is) a great photo of me and my boyfriend, and i have so enjoyed hearing all the contrasting views and opinions on this photo. thanks for all the wonderful input

like this idea but i think there needsto be more light on the mans mouth to fully show the expression.

I like this a lot even though I can come up with a bunch of reasons not to - excess negative space, man's chin hidden by shadow, wristwatch as a distraction ... all overcome by the implied glimpse into a relationship with our imagination filling in the context. Glad to see this hauntingly intimate capture.
