rotate 90ccw
rotate -1 for verticals
crop to remove pidgeon
duplicate layer
curves on duplicate to increase contrast on men
add layer mask - selecting opening with men in
curves on bottom layer to lighten
make new layer from visible
desaturate top layer using just green channel
curves
de-noised
re-size
sharpen

I think this is the most post-processing I've ever done on a challenge entry, which must mean it's destined to crash and burn.
