A lucky "find" on the last day of the challenge. I saw the top of this structure out of the corner of my eye while driving and figured it was worth going back to check out.

I took a couple of shots with more space between the top of the bench structure and the trees below it but I managed to cut off the very top of the structure while doing so. I guess this is all part of the transition from a camera with a 90% viewfinder to the 7D with its 100% viewfinder. I hadn't realized how much I'd been taking that extra 10% into account!!. Anyhow I was pretty happy with this composition too.

I was concerned that with its metalic color, the boardwalk wasn't such an interesting subject, even with the marsh surrounding it and that wonderful structure framing it. So I'm really delighted with how this has done. Thank you for the votes and comments. Thanks to Robert (Bear_Music) for identifying this as a moon gate.

I'm amazed at all the texture in this photo - one of the most interesting and engaging I've seen on DPC.

...I'm also amazed that people will give images like this a '2'. I always assumed that members of a photography site would be a bit less soul-less.

It's look like someplace in South Chatham Close to red river beach or cockle beach. When I voting on this look famaliar. I am one of the four person gave you a 10.
The oak tree and the gate are the elements of the frame in the foreground to bad 32 people didn't see it! You could win first place with this.
