Took the D90 and Siggy out for a walk a few blocks from Chez Ryan, and got some street photography type shots. Or my version thereof, anyway!

Somebody's KIDDING! I looked at that score and hollered out loud. "What were they thinking!" (Were you around for that guy? He was a few years back...)

Well, you received 3 "10"s and I was one of them, so you can see this is really going to be a forceful critique.

There is nothing wrong with this Free Study Image. It is technically excellent. It tells a great story. It is imaginative. What the heck can one want. 279 out of 378 indeed.

Well, you have taken your lumps and no doubt are planning revenge in the next Challenge. Keep 'em coming, ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', '/') + 1) . ' Snaffles. You're good and a lot of us know it.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Another image which benefits from an interesting POV - it's amazing the interesting shapes we can find when we move our eyes in unusual directions. I like your composition here and how it points very directly into the corner of the frame. I like how we can see the texture on the metal too.

Critical stuff: I think there is a pretty finite amount of interest that can be gleaned from such a scene; I don't think you could have done much more with it but overall it will probably top out on interest pretty quickly for most viewers. I think the 'blown' yellow / orange detracts from the image a little as it dominates the frame.

Overall: A nicely made image of an everyday scene.

Excellent way to see and show these 'ordinary' objects!
Very well done.

An interesting perspective on something commonplace. Looks like a robot or something.

You've certainly caught this from a unique point of view. Nice job.
